Visit with the Holdens

Allen's sister Chevie and her family were in Longboat Key for a little vacation before Max and Belle had to start back to school. We got to drive down to visit them for the day since they were only 1 1/2 hours away and had a great time.

Amelie got to go to the beach with her cousins Max and Belle (soon to be 10 & 7) and was so excited to participate with them in everything they did. She wanted to make sure we were never too far away and kept calling after Max "Hey Max! Look!" Max and Belle showed off their boogie boarding skills and Amelie was very impressed with their 'surfing'.

Afterwards, we went to the pool. Amelie, who is already a great swimmer, got to watch Belle really show her talents (Belle is on the swim team). It's great for Amelie to get to spend time with her cousins, especially cousins who are so patient and caring for her.

After swimming, we all wound down in Chevie and Mickey's room and played some games. Amelie really bonded with Chevie who was so good with her. Amelie kept wanting to be on Chevie's team and 'help'. Max and Belle were very generous with Amelie and let her sit with them and share their snacks and candy. At the end of the day, it was pretty clear everyone had a pretty active day and Amelie sacked out early.
